So we are finally around to finishing our dining room, but the walls are empty! So what I want your advice is whether I should leave the walls bare or put something up? And if so what? Any suggestions would be great!

Wow! I LOVE the walls. The stripes look fantastic and I love the chair rail.
I really don't think you "need" anything. Although, I'm a hang-up-everything-on-the-wall-aholic so I'm sure I would have those walls filled up. =)
Without seeing the entire room, I would probably want to put up some white shelves up flanking the window and place dishes/china/glassware there, since it is a dining room. But, again - I think it looks fantastic. =)
Love your dining room! I, too, am in the process of decorating our home. I love seeing what others do.

The walls look great! You could always add some curtains to really dress up the windows and give the room some umph!
I think the walls plain are great -the stripes are gorgeous! Just jazz the room up with some fresh flowers and curtains and you will be good to go! Found you through Mrs. Stilettos!

Based on these pics, I'm with the rest of the girls--I think the stripes do enough for the space that you don't need anything else on the walls. Curtains would look great though, and add would some interest that you seem to be looking for. Good luck!
